cavalry regiments raised for hostilities only during World
War II. These regiments were the 22nd Dragoons, 23rd
Hussars, 24th Lancers, 25th Dragoons, 26th Hussars and 27th
Lancers. The book includes 25 A4 colour plates of insignia
(including trial patterns), uniform items, plus numerous
black and white images showing various items of insignia
being worn. The orders by which these regiments were raised
and subsequently disbanded are also included together with
potted histories of each, along with historical notes about
their 18th and 19th century predecessors.

This is Frank Kitson's Autobiography of his military
career from Kenya to Cyprus. He described his involvement in
Kenya in detail in 'Gangs and Countergangs', but 'Bunch of
Five' fills in the historical background for his involvement
in Malaya, Aden, and Cyprus. These conflicts informed the
theory of counter insurgency which he put forward in his
renowned work, 'Low Intensity Operations'. This book
includes details about his involvement in these conflicts
which the reader is unlikely to find elsewhere.

Phantom II was used by the Israelis in the air-to-ground
role and in air-to-air missions. Despite performing these
roles with equal success the Israeli reliance on the Mirage
III and Nesher delta fighters meant that the F-4 was used
mostly in its air-to-ground role. The kill total of the
Israeli F-4 community was, consequently, a modest 116.5;
significantly lower than that of other Israeli aircraft
types in service between 1969 and 1982. A handful of aces
were, nevertheless, created and, using first hand accounts,
this unique book tells their stories.
