He worked for the moral and religious welfare of his troops. His family settled in Ireland early in the sixteenth century, the family estate being Levalley, in Queen's County. He was killed in action in the trenches at Sebastapol in the Crimean War Presented in red cloth with gilt title. Cloth on spine disintegrating. Previous owner's signature.
